grotzooka suprise!

I hinted in the last post that i was planning something abit different to represent the grotzooka on my remaining three kanz. After playing around with the idea of having a mini shokk attack gun firing bomb squigs i realised it was far far far to big for the kan!
Instead i interpreted the title grotzooka a little differently, a zooka that fires grots....covered in dynamite!I would really like some feed back on this idea. ill make progress on getting the canvess effect on the hoover bag tomorrow, so expect a short update.

righty, righty, righty!

Its been a while and for good reason...damn MSc. Should have done something easy and worthless like politics or drama but hey...the virtue of hindsight!

Any way i have been dabbling in my spare time. The battle wagon is under painting progress atm with one side being finished and the other side untouched.

I also treated myself to two boxes of the new Kanz!! There are really nice models with some good scope for further conversion and customization. Unfortunately they only come with one of each weapon so i had to swap a grotzooka with a friend. the other unit will also have grotzookas but thats a surprise for a later data (when i build the damn things!)

Ill keep you posted when they come though.

nearly finished with this kan. just needs the grotzooka painting and the smoke painting as well

enjoy

Progress continues...

ok, so a week has gone by and i have done some (not much) work to the battle wagon. The gunners are painted and finished and the wagon has been somewhat tarted up with various details. I've added extra armour plates to the sides and also some ladders so the boyz dont hurt themselves when they jump off! I also added some extra worky bitz to the engine and some grot riggas hanging on for dear life on the sides!

I would like some feed back (from my modest but brilliant set of followers) as to what else is missing. I plan to add some more riggas (just waiting on the spares from my mates stompa) but other than that i'm stuck. It still feels abit plain......any suggestions?

WEEEEEEEE!!!!!

Righty, Righty. The exams are over (both on the same day Friday!)! Which can only mean that I have had a little free time to do up my orks a little bit. these guys are just over a year old now and since then i really have improved my painting with a number of really effective techniques (thank you painting corp!) So im just in the process of touching them all up (not in that way!) will a little paint and detail.

First up is.....my pride and joy......the scratch built battle wagon!

I think the wagon it's self is still a little bare of trophies icons and worky bitz etc... the original idea was that this would be modular so i could apply all the wagon upgrades and weapons to it should i wish. also i would like the build an upper compartment so that i can turn it into a battle fortress. Also i left it bare so that i could add trophies to it as a played games. sadly though i totally forgot! so sprucing up is needed!

i should be working on this over the next couple of days. ill try and keep you posted.

The Orks are back

Right then, I'm back in Aber now right in the middle of revising for my first MSc exams. Two good things came out of the Christmas holiday....1) i worked and earned some money. 2) i was able to bring my ork army back with me.

So my smurf like musings have progressed now onto orks. Maybe they will flit back to the traitor guardsmen when new tanks are released?! Who knows.

Any way here is what my exam revision stress busting painting sessions have produced.

It's a Waaahhh banner nob yay! Complete with smashed in skull matter. After all a big sharp banner isn't just for looking at, it's for whacking people with as well.

Just need to add some space marine insignia to the banner plates (imperial fist and ultramarine) and i think he is done!

Hopefully the next update will take far less time....its not easy this blogging lark is it?

Hello and welcome

After having seen some really awesome blogs by other people concerning their warhammer addictions, I noticed how open and helpful everyone is to each other.

I thought it might be nice to be a part of and contribute to the community, here goes!

Here is the beginnings of a new army I've been working on. I have always liked the idea of traitor guard and since they often feature heavily in the fluff i thought it only right to have a go at it myself.

Of course the awesome nature of the new Imperial Guard codex played a hand in my decision but being a long serving disciple of chaos, i couldn't sit back and have them march in time with the Emperors anthem!

These boys are for chaos!

Here's the beginnings of the first section of the infantry platoon

heres the traitor devil dog. Its not finished yet, the map needs painting and the mud needs some water effects
